In 2025, Peru set a historic copper production record of 2.77 million metric tonnes. Foreign investment in critical and strategic minerals across Latin America grew 288% between 2022 and 2025 — and Peru is at the heart of that surge. The World Mining Congress selected Lima as its 2026 host, signaling global consensus: this is where the future of industrial civilization will be decided.
The demand is not abstract. Every electric vehicle, every wind turbine, every semiconductor device, every quantum computing system requires elements that Peru holds in abundance. Rare earths, rubidium, lithium, vanadium, scandium, titanium, copper, silver, gold — the periodic table of the future is largely Peruvian.
